Around the Shop, Marshall MI
There’s nothing like playing music in the comforts of your own home. It’s often said that home is where the heart is but for many travelling musicians that home may be a long ways away and a place that they seldom get a chance to visit. Good music, band mates, even your trusted vehicle, adds a sense of familiarity to that meandering home on the road. And through all of the back and forth and in between, your instrument becomes a true source of security and a link to everything. That attachment is almost too hard to explain in words. Instruments become family members, ones you can take with you when you’re out in the grind.
At the very beginning of 2014 we moved our home base down the street to a location with more room to inspire us in everything we are trying to do as a company, and with a charm that really showcases our small workshops. One of the first things was setting up the front room, our living room, so that it was inviting for musicians and mandolin enthusiasts to stop by, sit down on the couch, and try some different instruments. We want our name on our headstock to be that sense of familiarity to you, not just the instrument in your hands.
