Zach Alvis began playing mandolin on his tenth birthday. He has since developed his own style, and has had the privilege of sharing the stage with many artists such as Lulu Roman (of Hee-Haw), Jimmy Fortune, Chris Young and many others. He has also recorded on numerous projects, and performed on multiple national television shows. He is a founding member of the bluegrass gospel group Chosen Road and travels full time playing over 250 dates per year in churches, fairs, festivals and many other venues across the country. This year, they were nominated for IMEA’s “Album of the Year” and “Gospel Band of the Year” and were also on the ballot for the Dove Award’s “Song of the Year” and “Album of the Year”. They have also had songs chart in gospel music and bluegrass numerous times. Zach is proud to be a member of the Northfield team, along side of many other great artists. He proudly plays a Northfield Big Mon.
