Troubadour Anew

Original Music and Modern Classical For Solo Mandolin

Oberlin releases his first solo album in a decade and it's jam packed with unique music. It has six original songs of swing and bluegrass that are past and future staples of the band Full Cord. Much like his solo shows, the album is interspersed with classical music and features many arrangements for solo mandolin by Brian. The distinctive flavor of the album is that six pieces are modern classical from Maestros; Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Dvorak, Schnittke and Sollima.

Joining Brian is Sallie Bacon (bass) and Dee Sutton (guitarist & vocalist) from the band Sweet Dee and the Wild Honeys. These ladies will accompany Brian on many songs to make it a special occasion for Michigan music fans.
