This beginner workshop is taught by Michigan’s own Brian Oberlin; a seasoned and professional mandolinist and educator for over 25 years.

Join Brian Oberlin in person for a fun beginner mandolin workshop and start jamming in no time!

If you are just picking up the mandolin and wish to learn how to strum simple rhythms and learn basic chords and melodies, this workshop is for you! Charts will be provided in notation and tablature, but reading music notation is not required. The class will focus on folks music classics, recognizable bluegrass songs and an easy swing song. Please bring a music stand if you have one.
